I actually started out with a graduation in Chemistry and spent 14 years working across Brand Management, Customer Service, Administrative and Operational roles. Work was a big part of my identity back then.
Then motherhood happened, and I stepped away from my career to be with my kids. I still believe that was the best decision for that phase of my life. But once they started school, things shifted. Suddenly, I had long quiet hours and a lot of boredom creeping in. That’s when I realized I was ready to get back into the workforce.
And then the reality check: a 7-year career break! It’s not easy jumping back in after that long. I knew if I was going to restart, I wanted it to be in something that genuinely interested me, not just something I used to do.
That’s when digital marketing caught my attention. It was everywhere in my daily life anyway. I started reading about it, watching videos, and exploring what the field was all about.
